The Origins of a Design Language
Prince & Bond is a swim and resort wear brand shaped by Mediterranean modernism.
Its design philosophy emerged during the restoration of an unfinished hotel. An existing blue stone floor became the foundation for a deeper exploration, and rather than replace it, our founder set out to understand it.
Mediterranean Modernism
An Architecture of a Holiday.
That process opened a wider exploration of Mediterranean modernism from the work of Gio Ponti to the broader principles of geometry, light, material and restraint and offered a framework for designing with what already existed, rather than against it.
What began as an architectural challenge evolved into a design language that continues to shape Prince & Bond through pattern, proportion, material and detail.

From Geometry to Tessera
Geometry became pattern.
The divided ellipse of Tessera emerged from Prince & Bond’s exploration of Mediterranean modernism, translating its principles of geometry, proportion and restraint into a distinctive house signature.
First expressed through print, Tessera continues to evolve across collections, materials and detail.
